Where will China's tourism industry go under the epidemic?

Though the suspension of tourism in February made practitioners panic,the boom trend only appears after the "Eleven Golden Week".

The tourism indutry has experiencing quite a lot ups and downs in the year 2020. The lockdown of Wuhan, a central city makes Chinese hard to trvel, let along trvalling.

However, the successful control of the virus makes the indutry see new hope in the second half year.

Passengers during the Spring Festival travel period compared to last year declined more than a half. Due to the natinal wide lockdown, this year's Spring Festival trvel passenger capacity was 1.48 billion passengers, a decrease of 50.3% over the same period last year.

The main reason for cutting passager flow is the limit on social distancing.
The return passenger flow of the Spring Festival this year was not concentrated
The order of life in "low-risk" areas has been fully restored, and transportation has returned to normal.

INTERNATIONAL PART

International tourism dropped fiercely during the pendamic by 80% year on year

The number of vist aboard declined sharply due to the worldwide COVID-19. More than 70 countries tightened the entrance limitation on China and 80% of international flights were cancelled.

Compared with the boom of domestic tourism, the international travelling keeps floating at the bottom with 100000 vistors a day these months, which used to be 700000 in Spetember, 2019.

Tightened Entry Restriction

Until March, more than 30 countries suspended visa processing and over 40 countries tightened the entry restriction on China.

After the announcement of Further Reducing International Passenger Flights, international flights scheduled per day was cut by around 98% year on year.

According to the World Tourism Orginazition, the international tourism income might lose from 420 billion to 300 billion. As the largest tourists export country, China exported nearly 0 visitors recently, which was 155 million in total last year

General speaking, there are more than 180 countries established friendly diplomatic relationship with China.

The index may negatively grow to the lowest in record.
